Automation of hydrothermal plant extension project

Adwan Chemical operates sodium silicate plants, which is made from fine sand and used to produce soaps and detergents, in Saudi Arabia, Syria and Algeria. The existing control systems of all its hydrothermal plants required upgrading and new control systems, SCADA systems, motor control centers, drives and field instrumentation installed with all related components and accessories.

Scope:

  • Turnkey project including hardware and software engineering, generation of all drawings and documentation, testing and commissioning of PLCs and SCADA systems. Supply and installation of all control and communication parts.
  • Engineering, supply, factory assessment testing, installing, testing and commissioning of new Siemens S7-300 PLCs to replace the existing PLCs complete with all required hardware, software licenses, and pre-assembled cabinets.
  • New electrical cabinet in substation with MCCB, heater contractors, motor starters and power cabling to the new MCC.
  • Supply and installation of control and MCC panels.
